President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the supply of air defense missiles from partners has decreased threefold this year compared to 2025.
The head of state announced this on Telegram following a meeting with the military, the Ministry of Defense, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Main Intelligence Directorate, and the Office of the President, Ukrinform reports.
“We have determined the procedure for additional steps to protect infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. This year, unfortunately, the supply of anti-ballistic missiles from partners has significantly decreased. The number of air defense missiles in the supply has decreased threefold when compared to 2025. And this is not only about this summer period but about all periods of the first half of 2026,” he wrote.
Zelensky noted that partners have the missiles.
“It is important that there are still the necessary political decisions regarding supply and acceleration of production processes, including localization in Ukraine. This is what can significantly support not only our country but also global life protection,” the President stated.
Zelensky also reported that he heard a report from Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi. According to the President, the head of government, together with representatives of Ukrainian business, proposed measures to support entrepreneurial and logistical activity in Ukraine.
In addition, during the meeting, the front line and key supply needs were discussed.
“A report by Mykhailo Drapatiy, Ihor Skybiuk, and Yevhen Hmara on the situation at the front and key supply needs. The most attention is currently focused, of course, on Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk. Mykhailo reported on the forces and capabilities of the units involved in the direction, key objectives, and tasks being performed,” he informed.
According to Zelensky, Hmara identified the needs for drones and funding, which must be urgently met.
“We have determined which of our active measures will be implemented in Donetsk region and some other areas of the front. I am grateful to all units for their resilience. We also discussed personnel matters in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he added.
During the meeting, priorities for August regarding “long-range sanctions” against Russia for this war were also discussed with the military, intelligence, and special services.
“Operations against Russian oil facilities and refining are ongoing. The cost of prolonging the war for the aggressor will increase. It is important that sanctions from partners against Russia strengthen our long-range influence. We will discuss this with key states. There are things that should be additionally implemented in sanction policy,” Zelensky noted.
As Ukrinform reported, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the evening of August 4 with four anti-ship missiles “Zircon”/”Onyx,” 24 ballistic missiles “Iskander-M”/”S-400,” and 115 strike UAVs.
