The Head of State announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“I spoke with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who is currently in Gdansk at the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine. An important signal of support, and I am grateful for it,” he wrote.
Zelenskyy noted that during the conversation, they discussed defense cooperation and collaboration to support Ukraine’s resilience and protect people from Russian attacks, including supplies for the Defense Forces.
“It is obvious to everyone that Russia is prolonging the war and ignoring all of Ukraine’s diplomatic proposals. Therefore, we must work to the maximum to strengthen our country and people. We also agreed on our next personal contacts,” he stated.
As Ukrinform reported, the two-day International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (Ukraine Recovery Conference, URC 2026) started on Thursday in Gdansk, Poland.
The Ukrainian delegation, led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, is participating in the conference.
