He was fascinated by football from childhood. During his school years, he became a pupil of the amateur football club “Rubin,” founded by local sports enthusiasts.

“Yevhen was a loving and only son to his parents. A graduate of the football club ‘Rubin,’ a fast and talented midfielder. Football was his true passion and an integral part of his life. His love for the game was passed down to him from his great-grandfather Volodymyr, a devoted fan with many years of experience, who, with his famous shout, ‘Rubin, go for it – they’re already tired!’ ignited the entire stadium,” wrote the former head of the Piskivka territorial community, Anatoliy Rudnychenko.

According to his coaches, Yevhen was distinguished by his high speed, excellent ball control skills, and mature game understanding.
As part of his home team, he repeatedly became a winner and prize-winner in numerous city, regional, and national football tournaments. He competed in a prestigious international youth football tournament in Barcelona, where he honorably and with dignity represented his team and his native region.

After school, the young man studied at Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University, where he graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.
