Toyota Motor Corporation reported that its exports from Japan to the Middle East in April decreased by 91.7% year-on-year to 2,418 units amidst the regional conflict.
Furthermore, the company’s sales in the Middle East dropped by 33.7% to 31,360 vehicles.
It is noted that Toyota’s global sales fell by 3.1% to 849,306 vehicles, marking the third consecutive month of decline, while the company’s global production increased by 2% to 831,971 units, setting an April record.
Sales outside Japan decreased by 7.5% to 699,382 units.
In addition, the company’s sales in the United States declined by 4.6% to 222,378 vehicles, despite the consistently strong demand for hybrid vehicles in North America.
