As Ukrinform reports, this was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening video address.
“We are meticulously determining the exact weaponry – which specific missiles and drones – the Russians employed this time. In Kyiv, according to preliminary data, a Kh-101 missile struck a residential building. Its production date is the second quarter of this year. This indicates that Russia is still importing components for missile production, necessary resources, and equipment by circumventing global sanctions. This must become a genuine objective for all our partners – to stop Russia’s sanction-evading schemes. We are preparing measures that can invigorate our joint counteraction – sanctions must inflict greater pain on Russia,” emphasized Zelenskyy.
He noted that rescue operations are still ongoing in Kyiv at the site of the strike on the residential building, which was effectively destroyed by a Russian missile.
The head of state recalled that over two days of practically continuous aerial strikes, the Russians deployed more than fifteen hundred drones and 56 missiles of various types.
Currently, tasks have been defined for the military and special services representatives on how to respond to the two-day attack.
As Ukrinform reported, the death toll in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv as a result of the Russian strike on May 14 increased to 12 people, two of whom were children.
