The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has updated its rankings of athletes as of August 30. As reported by BTU, the leaders of Ukrainian women’s tennis, Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk, have maintained their standings, occupying the 9th and 11th positions respectively before the start of the US Open, according to Ukrinform. Daria Snigur has dropped one place and is now ranked 45th. Alexandra Olynikova remains the world’s 46th “racket,” while Anhelina Kalinina has lost two positions and currently holds the 51st spot this week. The most significant progress among the Ukrainian players in the upper part of the rankings was demonstrated by Yuliia Starodubtseva, who has climbed 16 positions – from 74th to 58th place. Dayana Yastremska has fallen to the 113th line (-1), Veronika Podrez remains at her career-high 132nd position, and Anastasia Soboleva is at 194th. It should be noted that the WTA singles ranking continues to be led by the “neutral” Aryna Sabalenka. The second “racket” in the world is Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan. American Jessica Pegula remains in third place. Additionally, in the WTA doubles rankings, Lyudmyla Kichenok remains the top “racket” from Ukraine, having dropped to 58th place this week (-1). Nadiia Kichenok has maintained her 86th position. Marta Kostyuk occupies the 133rd spot (-1), Dayana Yastremska stays at 162nd, and Yuliia Starodubtseva has slipped to 191st place (-1).
