Ukrainian defence forces struck two refineries in Tatarstan and a rubber plant in the Samara region. Video 12.06.2026 11:15 Ukrinform Ukrainian defence forces on the night of June 12 successfully attacked two oil refineries in the Republic of Tatarstan, a synthetic rubber production plant in the Samara region, and command posts of Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
As Ukrinform reports, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook.
“On the night of June 12, 2026, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the TANECO and TAIF-NK oil refineries in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation,” the statement reads.
Confirmed hits on targets and fires at both enterprises have been reported.
The TANECO oil refining complex is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation. Its designed processing capacity is over 16 million tons of oil per year. The enterprise produces a wide range of fuels and lubricants, including diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products.
As noted by the General Staff, the TAIF-NK enterprise is a large oil refining complex characterized by an exceptionally high depth of oil processing (after the launch of the Deep Processing Complex of Heavy Residues, this indicator is declared at over 95%). The enterprise processes heavy high-sulfur oil and gas condensate. The plant’s products are divided into several key segments, from mass fuel to specific raw materials for petrochemicals and military needs.
Additionally, the Tolyattikauchuk plant in the Samara region, which specializes in the production of synthetic rubbers, was struck. As explained by the General Staff, it is used, in particular, in the further production of solid rocket fuel for tactical and ballistic missiles, monomers, fractions, and high-octane gasoline additives.
Confirmed hits on targets and fires at the plant’s premises have been reported.
Furthermore, enemy command and observation posts were struck in the areas of Obest and Iskra in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, and in the area of Marinske in the Kherson region.
Strikes were also carried out on enemy control points in the areas of Voskresenka and Pokrovsk, and on a Russian communication hub in the area of Veseloye in the Donetsk region.
Ukrainian soldiers also struck an enemy personnel concentration area at the Vostochny training ground in the Novopetrivka area of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, a field artillery depot was struck in the Rybyantsiv area of the Luhansk region, and an enemy logistics warehouse in Mariupol, Donetsk region.
According to the results of data refinement regarding the Kuybyshev oil refinery in the Samara region, which was struck on June 10, direct hits were confirmed on the AVT-4 and AVT-5 primary oil processing units and the RVS-2000 tank. The plant has ceased operations.
Earlier, media reported that a fire broke out at the TANECO oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, as a result of a drone attack. This was confirmed by OSINT analysis from Astra.
According to the analysis of eyewitness videos, at least three fire outbreaks occurred at the enterprise.
The ELOV AVT-9 primary oil processing unit and the ELOV AVT-8 column are on fire. The third fire outbreak is likely located on the territory of another refinery, TAIF-NK JSC, which is situated in the same industrial zone as the TANECO plant, Astra noted.
Earlier on Friday, the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, confirmed an attack on unspecified enterprises in Tatarstan, claiming that production processes at the plant had not been halted.
Additionally, according to Astra’s analysis, the Tolyattikauchuk petrochemical plant in the Samara region of the Russian Federation, which is included in the closed register of defense enterprises of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, came under attack.
Eyewitness videos show smoke on the territory of the plant, located in the city of Tolyatti. The city’s mayor, Ilya Sukhikh, stated that damage was recorded at one industrial facility as a result of a drone crash.
Tolyattikauchuk is one of the largest petrochemical enterprises in Russia. The plant is part of the PJSC Tatneft group and holds an important position in production chains related to the military-industrial complex.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on June 10 and the night of June 11, Ukrainian defence forces struck the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation, a production site for naval uncrewed boats in Sevastopol, and warehouses and command posts of Russian drones in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
